Privacy Policy
Effective 4 November 2026
Pipscout (“we”, “us”) runs Pipscout, a tool that helps businesses find and research prospects. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and sign-in method (password, or Google). We never see your Google password.
- Business profile: your business name, website, industry and country, and the campaigns you create.
- Prospect data: businesses and public business contact details found through search and places providers, or imported by you, each with the source recorded.
- Your instructions: text you type into the AI tools, so we can generate campaigns and drafts for you.
- Usage: credits used, plan, and activity in your workspace.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, status and invoice references. We do not store card numbers.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, run searches and AI features you ask for, enforce plan limits, take payment, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your workspace data to advertise to you.
Who processes data for us
We use trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI text generation, which receives the instructions and prospect details needed for a request), search and places providers such as Serper and Google Places (which receive your search queries), and our hosting provider. We share only what each needs to do its job.
Prospect data and your responsibilities
Prospect records are public business information. You are responsible for using them lawfully, including marketing rules that apply where you and your recipients are located. Messages are never sent without a person in your workspace approving them.
Isolation and security
Each workspace's data is isolated at the database level so other customers cannot read it. Access is checked on the server, connections are encrypted, and secrets are kept out of the browser. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly about a breach that affects you where the law requires.
Cookies and similar storage
We use only what is needed to run the app: a sign-in session cookie, a cookie remembering your selected workspace, and browser storage for interface preferences (such as the collapsed sidebar) and, if you start from our homepage, the text you typed so we can prefill it after you sign up. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your workspace data, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as invoices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU GDPR, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to some processing, or withdraw consent. You can edit your name and email in Settings. For anything else, contact us at the support option in your account. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
People whose business details appear in prospect data
If a business contact believes their details should not appear, contact us at the support option in your account and we will review and remove them where appropriate.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here and update the effective date, and tell you about material changes. Questions: the support option in your account.
